NZD

NZD is the currency abbreviation for New Zealand’s official currency, the dollar. The New Zealand dollar is made up of 100 cents and is often referred to as Kiwi due to the flightless bird that is stamped on the currency and is native to the country of New Zealand.

It’s interesting to note that it is not only used in New Zealand but in the Cook Islands, Niue, Tokelau, and the Pitcairn Islands. Initially fixed to the United States dollar, the NZD was allowed to float freely in 1985.

When it comes to forex trading, the currency is consistently amongst the top ten currencies traded on a daily basis.
